Jog through the morning run rather easily. I can now run all way up hill when before huffed and puffed and had to walk bits. I must be improving as I don't even wince at breakfasts measly potion size, just tuck in and swill down fruit tea to tackle hunger pangs. We're off for a walk on Dartmoor today which means I can finally break in my new Hi-Tec walking boots, and I've made sure my feet are fully covered in Compeed (genius stuff).
I feel quite serene on the Moors as the greenery streches so far in each direction I feel like I'm lost in my very own Wuthering Heights (minus the attractive clothes and hot men) and the horses and sheep make for a rather picturesque scene. Shame about all the droppings though. This is easy. Ah.
So the stroll was the easy part and now I'm clambering over hillocks and cursing the happy go lucky staff members as Staff Udall happily strides along. Fall through a hillock inti a muddy bog up to my ankle. Nice squelchy noise as pull foot out, great. Lunch is hot soup in the form of a canister sitting on top of a footbridge, and as I gaze down at the clear water I vow to be more relaxed in future and to make peace with my ten mile a minute mind.
Little ponies gambol in the distance, and we're finally done, at about 4.30. I think I may have slept on the coach back...
After a long hot shower I feel awake again and admire all my muscle definition in the mirror. Can definitely see changes in calves and arms, and really excited about weigh in tomorrow.
Went down for dinner to be greeted by a rather surprising sight. White linen tablecloths? Flower arrangements? Waiters? Wow, it has been a long time since I've been in the real world. Tonight was special (low calorie) supper to congratulate us on our hard work. There was a delicious Thai curry, Miso soup and best of all a glass of champagne! We got to enjoy a skit from the staff and were all presented with certificates. Aww. The bubbles of champagne tingles a they went down and I drank it very slowly, savouring the unusual taste.
One last morning run to go, and then home! I'm not sure how I feel about that anymore, as I'll miss this place!
