The MAC/Hello Kitty collection is soon to launch in the UK, and already people are beside themselves with excitement Well, just to extend that anticipation to a higher crescendo, we have a themed fashion show to look forward to. Yes, we don't normally do fashion here on K&M but when it consists of 30 Hello Kitty/MAC themed dresses by seriously heavyweight designers we HAD to mention them. Think pink, black and surreal and you'll have an idea of what I mean.

More pics after the jump.

MAC managed to get some great names on board to create a collection of clothes that used the Hello Kitty collection colours of black, grey, white and pink. The story was, 'What would the MAC Hello Kitty wear if she were a fashionista?'

The designers got to work, and these are the results;a bubblegum pink collection that's decorated with bows, and frills, and some seriously cool geometric designs. The designer span all the continents, with the European and US designers including Blugirl, Catherine Malandrino, Charlotte Ronson, Elie Saab, Emanuel Ungaro, Giles, Herve Leger by Max Azria, Kai Kühne, Katy England, Manish Arora, Marchesa, Miro, Opening Ceremony, Rosa Cha, Ruffian, Sinha Stanic, Tadashi Shoji, The Blonds, threeasFOUR, Vicente Villarin,Yigal Azrouel and Zac Posen. There's also a Japanese contingent, Asia Pacific AND China, so they've covered all their bases.

The designs are being sold on eBay with the money raised going to The Museum at The Fashion Institute of Technology. They're currently online now, with bids for them ENDING on the 19th, so get bidding NOW if you want one of these limited edition creations.Thumbnail image for Elie Sab hello kitty.JPG

(My favourite is this lovely Elie Saab dress, it reminds me of parties when I was five years old, with an edgy adult twist.)
