With a hectic London lifestyle of working too hard and staying up too late, I'm no stranger to those horrid puffy, dark under-eye circles. So when I saw that K1 solution serum is meant to be great at targeting the under-eye area, among other things, I was eager to try it.

Marketed as a 'unique skincare line with anti-redness affect', K1 serum is meant to be able to deal with a large variety of issues from thread veins, bruising, age spots and general red skin blemishes. Very quickly the serum is said to reduce the visibility of these unsightly problems and over time make them disappear altogether.

Slightly unconvinced, I wanted to know a bit more about the product. So here goes: through years working as a cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Robert Jones found that the natural vitamin K1 reduced his patients' scars after operations. He decided that rather than just using it after treatment, it could also be used as a preventative measure in the right doses, solving skin discolouration problems without surgery.

Well it all sounds good, but does it produce results?

I applied it each day, at night, to the area under my eyes and to skin blemishes on my face and upper arms. It felt thick and greasy on my skin immediately after application but was absorbed quite quickly. One of the worst things about the serum is its strange bright yellow colour! Don't be put off too much by this though, as it loses its colour completely when rubbed in.

After one week, I was quite disheartened and could see no difference at all. But I persevered. And three weeks on, I think my circles are less pronounced and my blemished a bit faded. This serum doesn't produce dramatic results and is quite pricey for the small improvement you're likely to see. If you can stick with it, you'll be pleased with the end result. But you'll have to be patient!
