It's not long till Valentine's Day now, and I can imagine you might be panicking slightly! Well I have the solution for you- lovely lashes to make him melt!
I've always wanted Bambi like lashes, but due to faulty genes (always blame the parents) mine tend to be rather on the thin side. In a bid to get the perfect doe eyed look for Valentine's day, I went to visit the rather fabulous Shanaz Mughal, to try out the Nouveau Lashes eyelash extensions.
She started off by asking me the type of lashes I'd like, and obviously I requested the most dramatic variety, which meant they were seriously long. She started by thoroughly cleansing my eyes, as any trace of oil or old mascara would mean the lashes wouldn't adhere well. I then lay back, shut my eyes and has a rather comfortable hours rest.
A anti wrinkle gel sticker pressed down my lower lashes, so they didn't get in her way, and she then meticulously applied each lash using tweezers and the special adhesive. It wasn't an uncomfortable experience, though it did feel strange to have the constant pressure on my eyes, and despite chatting about the latest celeb shenanigans I did find that I snoozed off at one point.
In total she applied approximately 120 lashes to the eye, meaning that when I glanced into the mirror I was greeted by a fairytale like flutter of luscious lashes.
Shanaz counselled me that they would last for approx 3 weeks before they'd start to fall out, and that I needed to be careful when washing my eyes, as hot water and oil based gels were a definite no no. I could still use mascara though, as long as it was water based, but looking at my lovely lashes I didn't think that would be necessary.
The Nouveau Lashes treatment cost from £75. Check out Nouveau Lashes for a salon near you, or call 0845 644 3994.
