Battle of the Bent Brushes: Benefit vs. Inglot
Benefit's famous brush is a staple for many in-the-know. Its 30-degree bend makes eyelining a cinch as you can get super-close to the mirror for the perfect line. But here's a secret: Polish brand Inglot have the same idea - for less of your green. Yeah, the brush name ain't as half cute - in fact it sounds more like a Terminator serial number - but darn if it don't look better in my pot of mostly-MAC brushes, and work just as well as anything ever...
In fact, scratch that. I don't think I've ever enjoyed putting on my gel eyeliner (Blacktrack Fluidline, if you're interested) as much as when I got this brush. I used to use the MAC 266, which was fantastic for thicker lines, but this knocks it out the park for versatility and precision! The best bit? The tapered, smooth synthetic fibres, which means even my stubborn water-resistant fluidline rinses clean away - perfect for busy mornings.
In fact, I'd suggest check out the whole range of Inglot brushes, which are reportedly made by the same manufacturers as Bobbi Brown's (do look at their Kabuki brush, which is uncannily similar to MAC's much-lauded 182). One of my favourite things about INGLOT brushes is that you can choose between natural and synthetic hairs, so they're perfect for both animal-lovers and total brush purists. Have a play in their shop in Westfield London when you're next in town...
