The one question/statement I keep hearing when I tell people about my laser treatment is that' but you have great skin!'. Then they amend it with, 'well your skin's pretty good anyway. That's not strictly true... Whilst I don't have the pitted skin of my youth that require antibiotics and roaccutane, neither do I have the desired peachy complexion I long for, and have had persistent acne for some time now. I may not be the 'typical' traumatized teen, but I am unhappy enough to want to make a change to my complexion.
Treatment two of the laser went surprisingly well. I'd been scrutinizing my skin for the last month and had noticed some slight improvements to the tone and texture.
I'd been dutifully applying suncream and differin daily, and noticed that despite my skin getting drier ( a common side effect) some areas seemed to be clearing up.
The stubborn blemishes that adorned my chest are pretty much non existent, but the face is still rather blotchy and uneven, 'It takes time' said Elize when I complained. It seems to be a case of 'getting worse before it gets better'.
I lay down on the bed as per usual and tensed up, but the pain wasn't as blindingly hot as last time, despite Elize turning the laser up a notch. maybe my skin is getting used to it, or maybe I'm becoming tougher, but that did seem promising.
The redness cleared up quite quickly as well, and I was able to film videos as usual, so I'm hoping for some major results next time- and you WILL get pictures for treatment 3!
I'm trialling this treatment a the Knightsbridge Laser Clinic, 1st Floor, Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, London SW3 1DE. A session costs £250 and you're expected to have four of them, three weeks apart of them for best results.
