Possibly the funkiest named beauty brand in Britain, Jelly Pong Pong offer products as distinctive as their name, from their divine Venus two-tone colour pearls to the spongy "Trifle" lipstick. It's a spirit that extends to their promotional material too. On my last visit to their Covent Garden boutique, I was absolutely entranced by the look and design of their new catalogue. It's an A6-sized folding card with beautiful pop-out illustrations of birds, flowers and butterflies. Within, there are several individual cards containing info about the latest products. I was reminded of the playfully lovely pop-up decoration on the Urban Decay Book of Shadows from 2008.
If you need another reason to drop in to the shady sanctuary of the Jelly Pong Pong store, how about the latest bargainous offering - the Deluxe Gift Bag 2. For just £10 each (£11.50 after VAT), choose between three sets of JPP products, housed in one of the store's adorable pink bags. One set has two eye palettes, one a blusher and a bronzer, and the last two huge lip glosses and a travel brush set. Or if you're feeling flush, why not collect the whole set?
