Years of late nights, silly working hours and the curious inability to lie in at the weekend has resulted in my eyes becoming comparable to those of a chronic insomniac. Most notably is the dark circles under my eyes which leads those who don't know me to assume I'm tired/hungover/seriously ill. I've decide to put GS Labs' Eyliplex-2 to the test to see if I can't regain some youthfulness back into my eyes.
Eyliplex-2 is an "eye lift circle reducer", convenient split into two creams - an "eye lift" and a "circle reducer". The idea goes that you use the day gel first thing in the morning to tighten up and brighten the eye area, and the night balm to reduce the darkened circles. In terms of ingredients, all I can tell you is it contains Suberlift, Rho-Cite, Haloxyl PFE and Mala-Plump... helpful. Not being told explicitly what it's made out of is a bit unnerving seeing as I'm slapping on my face, but I'm telling myself it's in the name of science.
The creams themselves are as you would expect - standard, unscented but generously sized in my opinion, and would probably last you at least 6 months. The day gel is an ugly shade of green that becomes transparent on application. You are instructed to gently pat onto the skin and let it dry for 3 minutes. It usually takes more than 5 minutes to dry but that's not the problem. The problem I find that is over the course of the day I will at some point rub my eyes, be it tiredness, nervousness, itchy, whatever, usually sometime before lunch and the dried gel peels off and forms globules that stick to your face.
In terms of effectiveness, Eyliplex-2 works incredibly well in the first 4 weeks. After just 1 week I noticed considerable improvement in the appearance of bags and by 4 weeks I was incredibly pleased with the results. From 4 weeks to 8 weeks however, the improvement has not been as fantastic but I feel that it is still working.
