There's no denying that tattoos are pretty cool.. when they're done well. We've seen examples here of how they can go horribly, horribly wrong, so it's no wonder people are a little needle shy of committing to getting them. Personally, I'm half chicken (needle phobia), and combined with my indecisive nature and you can see why I might shy away from a full on tattoo. That's why Jinny Rainbow is so great- they're s step between a full on tattoo and the stickers that you get in Kellogg's Frosties.
Jinny Rainbow allows you to enjoy body art without the commitment, and for a really cheap price (oh and did I mention it's glitter??)
Simply pop along to Selfridges, Oxford Street and you can speak to one of the dedicated Jinny girls about what type of design you'd like, There are a variety on offer, with the smallest starting at just £5 (the price of the wrist butterfly-pictured above).
They apply the stencil first and then apply glue to the area. Next they remove the stencil and sprinkle glitter over the are, making sure the colour fits the right space. They have a huge array of colours to choose from, and all the staff wear the designs themselves, which helps.
I chose a trailing butterfly design for my arm in pinks and purples. The finished design last for around 7 days, and if you don't like it, simply scrub really hard in the shower- but it won't flake away on your clothes.
It takes no time at all to apply- literally 5 minutes for my design and it's instantly dry as well! I think it's a lovely thing to do before a night out, and it really lets you indulge your inner four year old!
Don't worry if you can't get to Selfridges though, the kits are available to buy online from as little as £30.
