Yesterday I went down to Boots' Christmas Press Day (they are done early for all those monthly magazines that work WAY in advance) and met the fabulous Gok Wan.
I expected him to be there as a guest providing words of wisdom on all things stylish but it turns out he is actually launching his own beauty range for Boots, come Christmas.
The range called Gorgeous by Gok is a selection of bath and body products all designed to pamper, pamper, pamper!
Read on after the Jump for more info on Gok's new range!
Gok was über-friendly and excitedly sat me down to talk about his new range before whipping out some of his Shimmer Body Balm and massaging it onto my chest! It was a lovely moisturising cream that left a sparkly golden sheen -Gok was extremely pleased that it looked good on my dark, albeit slightly sweaty, skin.
The affordable range comes in girly pink, purple and turquoise packaging with luxe looking gold caps and writing. All the products not only moisturise deeply (it worked a treat on my scaly arms) but they all have a really sexy, spicy scent perfect for the party season.
There are some pretty gift sets with a selection of pampering products including shimmer shower creams, body butter, lip balm, bath essence, hand balm and a few quirky little products in there too. There's a fabulously retro purple satin shower cap and in one of the gift sets there are some date cards!
It's very Gok - girly, glam and designed to make you feel gorgeous. So aptly named!
In his own words "I feel passionate about my girls and believe you deserve to feel fabulous. Whether you're having a night of well deserved indulgence or a pampering weekend away this collection of treatments is designed to lavish some love on your beautiful bod!"
He then demanded I sat on his lap for a photo! I well and truly got the Gok treatment!
As well as Gok's new range there was a huge range of covetable presents at the press day. In particular, I loved iconic textile designer Celia Birtwell's line of travel and handbag accessories. All in black and cream with her signature floral motif, the range included a retro frilly umbrella, gorgeous vanity case and a zip-around cosmetics organiser with makeup brushes. Make a note of this range because I predict it to be sell-out popular!
But Boots really have out done themselves with their survival packs. Designed in a box that can only be described as a happy meal box they comes in different themes including man-flu (the only one out last year), supermums and match day. We love the hangover survival box which comes with a cute eyemask with those immortal words 'never again' printed on it. The dancing queens one includes some fab foot products and can be given to any one of your girlfriends. They are perfect stocking fillers and the ideal gift for those tricky secret santa presents.
The press day itself was really lovely there were even Sanctuary beauticians giving pedicures to the tired soles of beauty eds! Plus the fruit skewers, elderflower water and mini ice cream cones went down a treat on what was a ridiculously hot, sticky day in London!
It may only be July but Christmas seems to come around faster each year!! So keep your eyes peeled come October when these products will be available exclusively at Boots.
I've already mentally worked out what I'm giving people. Nope, no more dashing around the shops on Christmas Eve for me!
All available exclusively to Boots.
