Don't you just hate those smug girls who claim to only need a sweep of blush and dab of lipbalm to look festival-fabulous? How pretty is this? Very! This Clinique-style flower compact is technically an eyeshadow set but I've found that the pink and bronze versions work fantastically as a blusher/bronzer too. Great for multi-tasking, the complimenting eyeshadows come in bright to dark shades to take your look from day to night in an instant. The powder looks amazing on skin leaving it petal soft plus it's under a fiver too which means more money for drinks and funny sunnies!
Unless you're going for the panda-eyes dishevelled effect smudged mascara is never a good look. Blinc has a special formula that coats your lashes creating a tube over them which promises to last up to 48hours. If you're feeling brave then you could coat lashes before you leave for the weekend and really put it to the test! It may not stay lash-perfect but if it's longevity you're after then this is the mascara for you.
Bobbi Brown Customised 6 Pan Palette, £10
I LOVE this BB palette. You buy the empty palette casing then individually purchase the inserts. Whether it's their foundation, concealer, blusher or eyeshadow you can pick and choose what you want in your own customised palette. This way you have everything you absolutely need all in one compact. Plus it looks so luxe you won't be receiving any smirks, oh no you'll be getting jealous gazes as you apply your makeup.
Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil, £9
What with all the late nights and binge-drinking, eyebags are guaranteed so a heavy-duty concealer is essential. This one has industrial-strength cover-up power yet comes in a convenient pencil so you needn't fanny around with sponges. Dot it on and blend with fingers, it's really creamy so you can brighten up large problem areas too.
Jelly Pong Pong Chic Shine, £18
Not only is this eensy-weensy but the products provide a whole host of multi-tasking makeup uses. The shiny block colour can be used as a gloss or cheek stain then the pearly cream on lips/cheeks/eyes and as a highlighter on browbones. I especially like Ballerina, a combo of hot pink and peach pearl which is guaranteed to brighten up hungover skin.
Avon Spectra Colour Lipstick, £7
More of a lipgloss than a lipstick me thinks but nevertheless this is a great new product that gives you the choice of seven different lip shades in one! Just turn the dial to choose the intensity of the fluid, so if you choose the pink version you can have either the palest of pinks or the hottest deep fuschia. Perfect if you just can't live without your lippy come festival weekend!
Pop Glitter Stix Pencils, £5.50
Festivals really aren't the occasion to work fiddly liquid eyeliner, unless you are Ms Von Teese of course. Forget eye makeup that needs precision application and go for something fool-proof like this chunky eyeliner. It comes in a huge range of colours from bright turquoise to navy blue and can blend to create an eyeshadow effect. Plus the glitter is much more subtle than it sounds and looks stunning -you'll def stand out in the muddy crowds.
You may have scoffed when this teenage-like mini range came out but this is the stuff that is going to transform you from festival-flop to festival-fabulous! There is mini lipglosses, lipsticks, eyeshadows, mirror and mascara to name but a few. You can even hang most of it off your phone, yes a bit teeny-bopper but at a festival it's the most practical place to attach it to!
Too Faced Snow Bunny Bronzer, £18.50
This brilliant bronzer has four seperate colours so you can use them individually (the pink makes a fab iridescent blusher and the creamy white an illuminating highlighter) or swirl together for a perfectly bronzed look. So even if the heavens open and remain flowing for the entire duration you can still fake the bronzed-festival-goddess look with this gorgeous products. The formula also makes skin look amazingly peachy soft and helps eradicate any pesky shine patches. It might not be tiny in size but this is worth the bag-space. Love, love, love it.
YSL Perfect Touch Foundation, £30
If you have problem skin and just can't go naked-faced then this classic foundation is a good festival option as it has a high-quality brush attached so you won't look too high-maintenance applying it. It also has a brightening formulation so skin not only looks instantly healthier but also provides full coverage. Touch-ups won't be vital either as it lasts all day come rain or shine.
