Steam Cream is fast becoming the latest homegrown cult beauty sensation, and having checked out the range I'm happy to add my stamp of approval to its list of devotees. The cream's name comes from the process used to make it: its unique texture and extreme smoothness is achieved by adding - you've guessed it - steam to the formula, removing the need for emulsifyers, some of which have been flagged up as potential health hazards.
The cream's popularity comes partly down to the limited run designs on the handbag-friendly tins (I'm totally coveting the leopard print version) and the way that each style has its own name. But my love for Steam Cream goes deeper: it's made under staunchy ethical conditions making it a truly eco-friendly choice. To bag yourself a pot, you can buy them here for £9.95.
