urban-decay-ink-for-eyes.jpgEyeliners are one of those products that are notoriously hard to get right. Too watery, too smudgy, too thick, unweildy brushes. The list is so long that many give up altogether, claiming that they don't have the 'steady hand' required to create decent eye definition.

But this autumn, eyes are going to be darker and smokier than ever, so you really do need to get the hang of eyeliner. Fortunately, Urban Decay have released a product that might just help - even for the most reluctant user. Ink for Eyes uses a brush and a solid block of high-pigment liner to achieve its effects, and I found this made application far easier and more precise.

urban-decay-ink-for-eyes-review1.jpgWhen I first applied the Ink for Eyes I was impressed by how easy it was to create either a thick line for a more striking, dramatic or gothy look - or a thin one, especially when painting the delicate area under the eyes. I usuall don't even bother painting the bit below the eye as it's just so fiddly. But using the flat side of the brush was a breeze.

For thicker or smudgier effects, use the q-tip style end of the applicator that comes in the splendid Ink for Eyes 'coffin' packaging.

Overall Verdict: I love this product and would buy it again, if only to avoid having to bother with flaky pencils or smudgy brushes. It's easy and fun to use, creates a range of dazzing effects and comes in five lovely colours.
