Product Review: Brush on brow gel by Mineralogie
Applying brow makeup is a delicate art if you don't want to look like a witch (which, admittedly might be exactly the look you're going for at this time of year, but let's plough on).
Pencils can result in too much definition, powder too little and that leaves you with a third an final option: brushes. My experience with this method has not been great before now, because the pigments I've tried have tended to be too thick and gooey, resulting in that Grotbags look again. Approach the same problem with a mineral formula, and results are quite different
Read on for our verdict...
Being a mineral formula, Mineralogie's brow gel feels not so much like a gel, but as a fine powder when applied, but it does stay in place like a gel. I found that this 'powdery' quality was actually a blessing in a brow liner, because it made it easier to control the intensity of the colour, and it was easy to brush off in areas where I'd applied it too thickly.
The applicator for the brow gel is identical to the sort you'd find in a mascara, but can be swept across the eyelids to produce the desired colour and shape. The brush also can also be used to even out the coverage.
What I liked best about Mineralogie's brow gel was the lack of mess: again, helped by the low goo/moisture factor. I'd definitely rank it up there with my favourite brow colouring powder, and the brush gives it a bit of an edge.
Available in nine colours, it's £10 at TLC Beauty Clinic
