Lime Crime Cosmetics release Candyfuture collection

Now I fully admit to being a beauty junkie, buying products for no other reason than they look sparkly and new, and often just because I find the packaging adorable. MAC, Urban Decay and Benefit have basically got a devotee for life out of me, but I can't believe I've never heard of Lime Crime cosmetics before.

They're a USA range of ultra bright lipsticks and shadows encased in adorable hot pink pots, with UNICORNS on them. Yes, that's right, they HAVE FLIPPING UNICORNS on them!! (OK, the Last Unicorn was one of my all-time favorite kids films ever).

The tagline of the brand is 'So Bright, It's Illegal!' and I think they have a valid point there. The range is created by Doe Deere, makeup artist and model, and focuses on her love for bright highly pigmented shades.

The latest collection is called Candyfuture and contains 10 shades of lippie, in colours ranging from lavender creme to a baby blue (titled: No, She Didn't).

It costs $16 for a lipstick from Lime Crime, and shadows (called Magic Dust) are $12. It's free worldwide shipping on orders over $100, which is handy for those non US based.

There's even a tutorial section for those who want to replicate some of the looks, and I love the imagery that goes with this brand, as it's really breathtaking.

And let's not forget the UNICORNS!!

N.B. I understand there has been some discussion about Lime Crime on the web, and I am choosing not to comment on it. I'm merely stating here that the colours (which I have not tried) look very alluring, and I really like the packaging.

Unfortunately they've come under fire a lot recently for allegedly selling repackaged wholesale mica at vastly inflated prices:

She's a liar and a scam artist. She repackages wholesale products and claims she 'made' them. She lied about making the forumula and coming up with the colors because nothing else out there exsisted, which was all a lie.

Google 'lime crime repackaging'.
