Last week, I met a lady at an event who had the most dazzling gold polish I'd ever seen on her nails. The first thing I asked her (after her name) was where she'd got them painted, and the poor thing had to field the same question from everyone she met that evening. I heard later of another wearer of the mystery polish being chased down a London Underground escalator by an admiring passer by who just had to find out what it was.
The answer turned out to be Minx, a solid nail-coating that you'll be able to have applied at Nails Inc. salons from 1st November. I was lucky enough to have a preview of the technique last night, and was intrigued by how it works. The coating is heated under an infra-red lamp and simply stuck to your nails where it stays looking solid, secure and seriously shiny for up to a week. Minx has been a huge hit in the states, where Beyonce, Victoria Beckham, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna have already gone crazy for it. There are loads of designs available across the pond, but the range has launched over here with just three styles for now: silver, gold and the seriously chic cheetah print (above).
Getting your nails Minxed costs £30 for hands or £35 for feet. Available from 1 November at Nails Inc.
