When Neal's Yard 'rejeuvenated' its Frankincense range a couple of years ago, we loved the lighter, more everyday wearable hydrating cream that is now available to fans of the original, cult status formula. So I was keen to another newcomer to the range: its Francincense Facial Serum.
A 'moisture boost' for dry or ageing skin, this serum is made with antioxidant-rich blueberry oil and skin brightening turmeric; all ingredients intended to brighten and firm.
Read on for my verdict
If you're expecting something a bit wussy and watery, think again: this serum has intensely firming properties which can be felt immediately after application. I found that only a small amount was needed after cleansing, and I had to follow this up very quickly with a spot of hydrating cream to stop my face from feeling dry.
However, the effects were visually pleasing, and made my skin appear more toned. Far from looking dry, it gained a subtle radiance that I really liked.
The serum smells pleasantly botanical without being over-powering, and complements the rest of the Frankincense range. It sinks in easily and is a good addition to a thorough skincare regime.
