Prada's Art Nouveau pattern to be displayed at Musee d'Orsay
When you hear about the artistry of perfume, it's usually about the scent itself. But Prada Parfums is getting praise for the packaging of its Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger fragrance. And the highest sort of praise there is for art - inclusion in an exhibit at Paris's Musée d'Orsay alongside the work of artists like Man Ray, Salvador Dalí and Aubrey Beardsley.
The perfume bottle was chosen to represent the Art Nouveau Revival movement's impact on current fashion culture. The design comes from Prada's Fall 2003 Collection which deconstructed a classic Art Nouveau wallpaper print. Book your ticket to Paris before February 4 if you'd like to see the exhibit, or just stop by your local perfume counter to get the visual and a spritz.
