Say Hello to the Nutra Sonic- a Clarisonic by another name?

Clones are no secret in the beauty world, as where one vibrating mascara goes, five more follow quickly behind. The Clarisonic is fairly new to the UK (with an already established fanbase in the USA) and I've been very impressed with my device, finding it gives me an exceptionally deep clean.

Imagine my surprise when a looky-likey device popped into my email inbox, titled the Nutra Sonic. It's slightly cheaper than the Clarisonic, and purports to do EXACTLY the same thing.

Here's what they say:

"The technology of SONIC cleansing has been successfully used for years with toothbrushes. Now, SONIC skin cleansing is available to give you the cleanest and healthiest looking skin every day. SONIC skin cleansing is effective, yet gentle enough to be used in the morning and evening for every age and skin type. The oscillating massage will deep clean your pores and remove impurities, dirt and loose skin cells for a healthier, softer and younger looking skin.

NUTRA SONIC for the cleanest skin you've ever experienced NUTRA SONIC is waterproof and can be used in the shower. It oscillates with 2 speeds up to 400 times per second and also comes with a very unique "jitter" mode perfect for removing dead skin cells. Oily or dry areas of the skin will be reduced, pores will visibly appear much smaller, and the skin will be free of make up and impurities due to the deep cleansing power of SONIC. "

Sound super similar right? Will it be any different? Better? Let me know if you've tried it!

Clarisonic: £146 from Space NK
Nutra Sonic: £125 from Selfridges

I purchased the Nutra Sonic for myself as a Christmas present. I absoulutely love it and guess what? They are now selling them on the Home Shopping Network so that speaks volumns to me. I'm glad that Clarisonic finally has some competition. Both are pricy but worth it! I can't imagine the Clarisonic being any better than this product.

I LOVE THE NUTRA SONIC ITS CHEAPER AND FASTER ! I LIKE IT I HAVE NO COMPLAINS WITH THE PRODUCT !!

  • Sounds it will be cheaper to buy in US and pay. There both Clarisonic and Nutra Sonic in my house... You can use any cleanser you like and save more just buying brush with brush heads.

The latest model from Clarisonic has 'spa therapy mode' with special head, but Nutra Sonic has also special mode. Unfortunately, I have nothing to say about this so far.
