American Apparel launches nail polish line

American Apparel nail polish.jpg

Well, their clothes already look like they're painted on, so it seems fitting that American Apparel has launched a nail polish line. The oh so hip will surely be flocking to check out the 18-shade line which began rolling out worldwide yesterday. It's sold exclusively at American Apparel stores.

"The company, which is well known for its garments' versatility and use of vibrant colors, felt that American Apparel Nail Lacquer was a natural extension of its current product offerings," the company said in WWD.

The colors are all inspired by some aspect of the company's history or culture. It's Jewish roots are referenced in the name of a dark black shade - Hassid. Other hues include a minty green called Office, a self-explanatory Factory Grey, and the red seen at left is called Downtown LA.

The polishes retail for $6 or $15 for a three pack.
