olay-definity2.jpgThanks to its helta-skelta packaging (an effect actually created by the three major components in this anti-ageing moisturiser) and its promises of wrinkle-defying moisture and tint, Olay's Definity colour enhancer was a product I was raring to try. I'm a sucker for a fun-looking product, and the swirly bottle looked rather inviting on my makeup shelf.

Did the results do its appearance justice though? Read on over the jump for my verdict.

The product rubbed in smoothly and evenly, behaving much like what I'd expect from a normal Olay moisturiser. So far so good. Its triple formula has been designed to combat hyperpigmentation - uneven tone and texture on the skin, a quality that many of us associate with ageing.

At first I wasn't too impressed by the result, as it seemed to be making my uneven bits look even more pronounced. But a second application soon seemed to fix this, and I was quite pleased with the end result. I'd recommend that you spend a while in front of the mirror ensuring that the moisturiser is applied very evenly, as you'll otherwise end up with the very problem you'd been hoping to avoid.

At almost £30, I think this product is a little steep. It's a nice enough tinted moisturiser, and if you already swear by the Olay range, then you'll love this addition. The bottle is seriously cool, and I thought it melted into the skin very nicely. But I can't say I was much more impressed with the final result than I would be with a good quality, skin-regulating foundation - or indeed with Clinique's 'Even Better' foundation, which is intended to target the same problems and represents better value for money at £19.50.
