A beautiful face requires more than expertly applied makeup, it also needs constant skin maintenance, daily SPF, and a pair of spectacles that suit the contours of the face. What works for one person, will look totally different on someone else, so aping celebrity styles is a big no no- choose what works for you and complements your features. Red or Dead has created a new range of designs, exclusively at Specsavers which feature all sorts of lovely motifs, from lip decals, to flowery embellishments.

The range caters to all face shapes, with some oversized frames, and some skinnier versions, allowing you to be on trend, but still find a perfect pair for your face. Red or Dead styles aim to appeal to confident men and women, as their designs can be quite wild to look at.

Gok Wan suggests the following tips on how to choose glasses for your face shape, that will help you choose your perfect pair. Read on to for more!

•Size: Frames should be no higher than the line of your eyebrows. The lower edge should not sit on your cheeks, even when you smile, and the frames should be no wider than the width of your face at the temples. If your lenses are going to be quite thick look for chunkier frames to hide the edge of the lens.

•Long/short nose: If you have a long nose, a low set bridge appears to shorten it, whereas a style with a high set bridge in line with the top of the frames is best for a short nose.

•Close/wide set eyes: A thin or clear bridge can add width between close-set eyes and a coloured bridge will make wide-set eyes appear closer together.

•Square face: Oval frames are best for a square face with a broad, deep forehead, wide jaw and square chin as they soften the jaw line. Avoid thin, angular styles and those with colour emphasis on the bottom rim.

•Round face: Angular or geometric styles are best for a round face, which is fairly short with a wide forehead, full cheeks and a round chin. They draw attention to the top half of your face. Avoid small, round styles and large frames, which can make your face look rounder.

•Oval face: An oval face is well balanced, softly rounded and looks great in most styles! Be adventurous and try modern geometric shapes, which are stylish and fashionable.

•Long face: A long face with high cheekbones and a deep forehead requires wide frames with a strong top line. Avoid small, square shapes and instead opt for a style with all over colour.

•Triangular Face: A triangular face, which is narrow at the forehead and eye line widening at the jaw, requires bold, strong shapes to add balance to the face. Triangular faces should avoid small, narrow frames.

•Heart-shaped face: A heart-shaped face which has a broad forehead and tapers to small, neat mouth and chin can wear slender, rounded or square styles without decorative detail on the temples. Avoid styles which are wider at the top, these will reflect the face shape rather than balance it.

The Red or Dead frames are a Specsavers exclusive, and start from £125.
