The MAC Warm & Cozy Collection is out now in the US and coming to the U.K. next month so I thought I'd give you a rundown of some of the products from the line I used to create a natural, neutral makeup look for everyday.

First I applied the two eye shadows: Chamomile, a creamy pale yellow I'd describe as vanilla, all over the lid up to the brow bone, and then Mulled Cider, a dark warm brown, in the crease with a countour brush, blending out a bit a the outer corners. This brown is very soft and muted, with something of a gray base, I'd say. I used my usual Diorshow mascara to finish off my eyes. This look is subtle and conservative, perfect for the office.

The line contains two Mineralize Skinfinishes for cheeks, By Candlelight, a golden pink, and Comfort, a golden bronze. But I didn't receive them so I used my Stila Countouring Trio.

To read about the three fabulous lip products in the Warm & Cozy collection, keep reading.

I've been a bit enamored of late with more nude lip colors, but not in a typical "nude lip" way. My nude lip color needs to have some color in it, maybe a pinkish warm brown. I want a nude lip as in a lip that will match and accentuate my natural lip color, not paint on a beige lip. The products in this collection have really rounded out my collection and I'm very please with them. You can even layer on all three if you want.

First there's the pinkish brown Close For Comfort Tined Lip Conditioner. It is a nice balm, not too thick or sticky, which adds a touch of color to lips. Adding Warm Me Up Lipstick, a creamy, mid-tone neutral pink, adds just the oomph of color I like. It looks very natural and very pretty. If you want, you can finish off with a little Light That Fire! Lipglass. It's a mid-tone burnt coral with pearl, but I didn't find it to be orangy at all. I just applied a little blended out with brush from the center of my lips for some sparkle.

Also of note, I love the smell of MAC makeup. I just smell nice and lightly vanilla-y.

A few other products from this collection that I was sent include the Mineralize All-Over Lotion which is a light moisturizing lotion designed to be "paired with pigments and oils to achieve a myriad of effects." Well, interesting. I wish they'd tell us what some of those affects are. "It utilizes MAC charged water to boost the delivery of moisturizing ingredients using the "vibration" of the gemstone, diamond." O-kay.

Another interesting addition are the Care Blends Essential Oils, which I gather are also intended to be used for moisturizing. "Can be used alone, under makeup, mixed into skin treatment or mixed into makeup to increase emolliency and comfort, sheer down or increase playtime of a product as desired."

These are clearly some professional products we mortals would need some tutoring on. Perhaps I'll get to ask some questions at fashion week!
