Somehow Barbie and pink are synonymous with each other, despite Barbie's plastic body not having a single slash of colour, apart from the lipstick she's been moulded with. Still, the idea remains, that barbie is the western epitome of grace and desirability, and the eastern world longs to recreate her so-called femininity.
