Endermologie Lipomasasage Treatment Review at the C2 Clinic
Cellulite is one of those universal problems that effects women of all shapes and sizes. There's nothing that can fix it permanently, as even liposuction can't change the appearance, but there are many things you can do that will reduce it on a daily basis. Endermologie has long since topped the list of treatments that are proved to be effective at reducing the sight of those lumps and bumps, so I was excited to finally have a chance to try it for myself.
I headed down to the C2 Clinic in Hampstead to try out the LipoMassage treatment, which uses the Endermologie machine to smooth and tauten the skin.
The clinic is located on the main road and looks deceptively small from the outside, but inside there are three gleaming white floors to enjoy. My therapist talked me through the various areas you can treat (everywhere from the face to arms and thighs) and we decided that we'd mainly concentrate on the buttocks and backs of my thighs.
We had a very in-depth consultation and some measurements were taken as well. Normally you'd have photos taken to, but as people normally take a course of this and I was just having one session we wouldn't really be able to show you that much difference.
I was given a white bodystocking to don, which fitted like a strange second skin and made me feel like I was a sperm extra from a Woody Allen film.
Every client receives a bodystocking fresh out of the packet, but you are expected to keep it and reuse it as they cost around £15 a pack. Once encased in this oh so glamorous getup my therapist proceeded to mark my body with felt tip pen to guide her with the rollers. The lines she drew varied from indicating circular motions to long strokes.
A session is half an hour long, but you need to allot 45 minutes for changing and consultation. Ideally you'd have two to three per week before a big event such as a holiday, and before and after photos I've viewed are very impressive. I particularly like that results can be speedily seen on slim people, as this is often an area where those who ares slim but flabby struggle to find treatments that will work.
Once I'd been marked up I lay down on the bed and the therapist proceeded to use the machine all over the areas. There are interchangeable heads depending on the size of area treated, and it was a rather odd sensation. It uses a vacuum like sucking motion to lift and knead the skin, and whilst not unpleasant it wasn't exactly comfortable.
I was told it was also really good for lymph drainage, so to be sure to drink water afterwards- and stay near a toilet! The rolling motion aims to slim and contour by triggering lipolysis. The roller stimulates the connective tissues which then help reduce inches by speeding up cell turnover.
The results:
After one session my thighs looked smoother and definitely felt tauter. The experience was odd, but not uncomfortable and I was very pleased with the results. I can imagine that a course of treatments might reap huge rewards, and found that even one session made me feel more confident about my thighs.
It costs £60 for one session, and £75 for th initial session which includes the body stocking. Prices for courses can be cheaper.
