My first backstage adventure for Fall 2010 was this morning at Jason Wu. The look was very ethereal and would have been quite understated if you didn't see the metallic eye catch the light when the models blinked. Makeup artist Lucia Peroni for Mac Cosmetics described it as fresh faced and sort of boyish.

Skin was kept super sheer with Strobe Cream creating a wintry luminescence, with no blush. The focal point of the look, the eye, was created by painting metallic gold and silver sweeps across the lid, with White Frost as a highlight.

"It picks up the distressed gold leaf from the collection," Peroni said. No mascara was used and only balm on the lips.

"You could so do this and go out," Peroni said. "Something you can really try at home, silver and gold always look amazing on eyes." She suggest using a wet brush to apply and then blending with your finger.
