Goldwell New Blonde redefines how you deal with root regrowth

Root regrowth is the bane of blondes worldwide as around the three week mark we start to notice darkness creeping into our parting. Unless we're made of money, we generally wait around 3 weeks more before addressing them, but imagine if there was an in between solution? A magical formula that gently lightened your roots but didn't affect your highlights and meant you could stave off the visit to the salon for a couple more weeks?

It doesn't sound possible does it, but this has actually just become a reality. Goldwell has created an in salon treatment called 'New Blonde' which addresses your roots at that mid stage point. Their top secret formula is liberally applied to the scalp, and somehow the ingredients on it make it only work on the virgin regrowth, leaving the dyed hair and your highlights untouched.

The Neutral 5 Lifting System is an interactive formula that neutralizes warm pigments, leaving your hair bright and light.

Since it distinguishes between the types of hair (somehow, they wouldn't tell us about the formula) it can be applied by a junior, as well as a trained colourist, and painting the whole head takes around 5 minutes. I watched one woman undergo a treatment and the time from chair to basin was around five minutes- simply astonishing. The formula is left on the head for five (timed) minutes then washed off, and I was astonished by the fact that he roots had now faded!

There are two treatments on offer- root touch up, and root touch up with highlights for a blended look. One product works on all shades of blonde, from light brown to white blonde, and an application is an incredibly quick process.

This treatment lightens the regrowth 1-1.5 levels, and since the whole procedure is so quick you can be in and out within half an hour. As someone used to waiting in the chair for an hour upwards for my hair to 'take' (it's annoyingly resistant) , this was a very attractive proposition.
