Green Gel.JPG

There are many spot creams in the world, and due to unhelpful skin I've tried a fair amount of them. After a recent flare up I was pretty desperate and turned to Ginerva's Green Tea Zit Treatment Gel to help me out. I've already been impressed with the Ginerva range as I've previously tried their Marvel Gel, and was hoping the gel would be just as good.

It comes packaged in a slim light green tube with a fine pointed tip. A small squeeze dispenses enough products to cover a few vital areas, so you don't feel like you waste product with every squeeze. The gel is semi clear and slightly cool to apply, and disappears within a few minutes.

It's enriched with Green Tea to cleanse the area (the anti bacteria qualities of this will dry out the area) and Salicylic Acid to help clear oil and dirt. It also has Aloe Vera to smooth and hydrate the skin.

It felt comfortable on the skin and I was impressed at how quickly it got absorbed. After one application I felt my skin looked less red, and after fur (you're advised to apply it three to four times a day) they definitely had shrunk.

I continued using it for the rest of the week, but normally about twice a day (3-4 times just isn't that feasible if you're out and about) and some of the most offending break out areas majorly died down. It had an immediate effect on the redness and seemed to slightly shrink the spots too.

I'd advise that this would be best used for occasional breakouts rather than major acne, as it works best at targeting specific spots or small areas, rather than all over the face. I'm happy at the results it gave me, and will definitely be using this again.
