There are eye creams which conceal, eye creams that waken up your eyes and eye creams with caffeine in the ingredients. They come in lotions, serums, creams and oils, but never before have I used one that feels like I've just injected small amount of Botox to my face. Called the 'instant eyelift', the Eyesential eye cream is not boasting with this claim as it LITERALLY tautens and tightens the skin around the eye area within about 20 seconds of application.
You're advised not to move your face for 2 minutes after application and during this time you'll feel an odd stretching sensation where you've applied it.
The Eyesential comes in a generously sized bottle with a removal lid which contains a soft pipette like nozzle for application. You're advised to shake the bottle before use and apply in a sweeping motion towards your temple, with a 'less the better' motto. Once I'd used the wand to apply the clear liquid to my face I was ready to start the rest of my routine when I started to feel a tightening sensation. I've tried MANY eye creams and never had one feel like this, so I held off my routine whilst I waited for it to work. I don't have a huge amount of bags, so a photo wouldn't really illustrate this one me, but the small creases under my eyes just, just LIFTED away, leaving my skin looking younger and fresher.
My eyes are quite sensitive because I wear contact lenses and they weren't affected at all and the lotion dried to a light invisible film on the skin. Be wary though, as if you over apply, not only will the sensation be doubled, but when it dries you'll get a weird line, like you were slightly peeling. My boyfriend tried this cream and being over enthusiastic on application, lines were clearly visible on his face.
The Eyesential range also contains a product called The Lift which promises to do the same type of tautening- but all over the face. You'd have to be brave to try that, but if their eye cream is anything to go by the Face Life version would be very effective.
I will definitely be using this again, especially before big events where I want to look my best, and I suggest that anyone with major eye bags invest in this product.
