
If I wasn't already excited about a new purple shadow for Fall '10 from NARS, I would be after seeing this beautiful image from the campaign. Francois Nars chose long-time friend Daphne Guinness to star in the ads, and they really turned out fabulous, don't you think?

"I love Daphne -- she has incredible style," Nars told WWD. "She fits the image of the brand so well. She's very creative and elegant and is a chameleon. And she really loves makeup -- the whole process of it. Any makeup artist dreams of having someone like that as a muse."
She was so inspiring a shadow has been named after her.
"When I started thinking about colors that meant Daphne to me, purple felt right -- and when I tried it on her at the shoot, I immediately knew it needed to be named for her," said Nars. Guinness also wears another new shadow called Mangrove, a yellow-green color. Other new products include Douceur blush, a soft pink-brown, and Rouge Basque Lipstick, a "quintessential red" inspired by the French Basque region.
The goods will be available online in July and roll out to retailers in August, at $23 to $26.
