Christian Dior Haute Couture kicked off Couture Fashion Week in Paris today with horticulture-inspired gowns and technicolor blooms. The crazy color wasn't relegated to the fabrics however. Blue, green and purple or orange or blue and yellow were applied on eyes in geometric shapes.

"John [Galliano] talked about super modern, super bold shapes and bright colors found on the clothing," makeup artist Pat McGrath told WWD. "They're not matching. It's super powerful."
It took some haute (and high!) hair to stand it's own against the drama of the fashion and makeup.
"The hairstyle was to look like flowers about to bloom," said hairstylist Orlando Pita. Hair was molded into bud shapes that perfectly paired with the tulip dresses and other blooms sashaying down the runway.
