sanctuary-facial.jpgWhen you write a lot about beauty, you become quite used to wishing that products and treatments really did what they were supposed to do. The vast majority don't, of course, and it gets a little disheartening when another product or treatment fails to deliver on its promises.

In the case of the 'brightening facial' I was recently treated to at The Sanctuary, however, quite the reverse was true: this was a treatment that just kept on giving. For days after my visit, I kept catching a glimpse of my skin in the mirror - looking absolutely radiant. It continued to feel soft and nourished too, and still feels better almost a week after my facial.

The treatment itself was relaxing and hugely enjoyable too, and it was wonderful to be back in the calming oasis of the famous Covent Garden spa. But for those who can't just book in for a facial on a whim, The Sanctuary has come up with a new product that's really quite genius: a 'facial in a box', featuring everything you need for your own DIY facial at home. Crucially, it includes all of the same products used in the spa's three most popular facial rituals: brightening, youth-boosting and deep cleanse. The kits cost just £16, which I think is an absolute bargain, and makes them highly giftable, too. All individual products are available individually too, including the truly magnificent Therapist's Secret facial oil. Almost as good as being there!
