Does an electrical brand need to launch an Autumn Winter collection? People don't excatly go, 'Hmm, it's a bit nippy now, better get a new range of tools to go with my on trend ankle boots', do they? Then again, the latest products from Toni & Guy aren't mere hints to fashion, as they're actually updated versions of beloved originals, so as well as shiny new dryers and straighteners you also get the latest in tourmaline technology.

Toni & Guy offers three range, the budget friendly Core range, and the more exciting 'Innovation and Signature range. The Innovation range is pictured above and features a dryer/straightener combo which have touch control settings. Both dryer and straightener feature a LCD display which glows red and tells you the temperature, and an iPod-esque dial for adjusting settings. This uses a button layout, an update on their 'joystick' from the previous model. The hairdryer reaches 2000 watts, and has a 3 metre salon cord and variable Ionic and tourmaline barrel, whilst the straightener has a top heat of 230 degrees and 25mm ceramic plates. They will be £39.99 and £59.99 respectively.

The Signature range features two products that have been created in conjunction with Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck, the Global Creative Director for Toni & Guy. The straightener features 25mm ceramic plates and features a slick black design, with a blue LCD screen. Top temperature is 230 degrees and you also get a matching faux suede mat and travel pouch. The hairdryer is surprisingly light, and has a 1700 watt salon motor, and a handy removable filter to allow you to get rid of trapped hair.

The straightener will be £69.99 and the hairdryer £34.99.

These products will be available from August 2010 at most retailers.
