I'm generally torn on the idea of eye creams. On one hand I know that the skin around the eyes is a lot thinner than anywhere else on the face (40%!), on the other hand I wonder whether the benefit from using an eye cream is the same as using a good quality moisturiser. Estee Lauder are determined to change my mind, and have just launched details of their brand new eye cream, the Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex.
The brand new serum ( out later this month) combines a selection of ingredients to reduce the signs of ageing. Here comes the science bit....
It uses Chronolux Technology to support the natural synchronization of skin's repair, Alkyl Guanine Transferase (AGT) to repair the appearance of damage to the eye area from smoke and pollution, and a high level of Hyaluronic Acid to protect and repair the eye area.
The cream is supposed to firm and soothe the skin, whilst helping you keep wrinkles at bay. The serum texture is rather thick, but disappears instantly into the skin, leaving the area feeling soft and nourished.
So had this changed my mind about eye creams? To be continued...
