For a brand whose ambassadors include the most famous woman in the world - Julia Roberts - it's kind of surprising that Lancome has chosen Julia Restoin-Roitfeld to front their spring Ultra Lavande collection. Restoin-Roitfeld may be the daughter of one of the most famous women in fashion, but even the French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld wouldn't have the same beauty counter recognition for the masses as most of Lancome's models. Which shows that Lancome must be trying to go a different direction here and appeal directly to the fashion crowd. This strategy would also explain their increased presence at fashion week for Fall 2010 which they are continuing at the upcoming Spring 2011 shows.
Lancome will once again provide beauty for Victoria Beckham and this season they'll also do L'Wren Scott.
