Cire Trudon / Cire Trvdon ( not sure why it seems to have different spellings) is a really, really old brand. I'm talking 1643 people! Originally created just to make candles for the French court, the brand expanded into fragrance and all sorts of lovely scented products. I've just had a sneak peek at the forthcoming products in the range, and am deeply in love. I'll start with the Contes De Noel Coffret pictured above This is a three piece set based around a fairytale theme. There are three stories to choose from-Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood and Sinbad the Sailor. Each box contains an illustrated storybook, a candle and a room spray, perfect to get you (or your young one) off to sleep with a scented journey. Sinbad is spicier, Red Riding Hood is foresty- you get the picture. They'll be £55 each.

You can also enjoy a rather unsual gift set- Scented stink Bombs! This sweet little tin contains 10 glass vials, all with the scent enclosed. the idea is to smash it and release a lovely aroma into the air, and the packaging is Dennis the Menace meets high couture. There will be six choices of scent to choose from, including Nazareth (orange and Clove) and Abd el Kader (Moroccan Mint Tea).
