Is the Sleek Circus i-Divine Palette the palette of 2010?

Sleek palette Circus colours.JPG

Considering it has barely turned August I don't want to sound to pre-emptive, but my love for Sleek MakeUp's recent palette release just can't be denied. Featuring 12 stunning shades, this palette has quickly become an essential in my makeup bag and on my dressers, and as the price is so low, I'm able to have one for each. The colours will not be to everyone's tastes as they are all bright and densely pigmented, so if you're a nude and taupe kind of girl you can click away now. Otherwise I think you'll be more than impressed with the colours and the consistency of this particular palette.

Sleek has built up a reputation for long lasting colours that have staying powder and are flattering on the skin, and the Circus palette takes the format of their beloved i-Divine palettes, but with a little twist. Housed in a bright orange case rather than stylish back, the colours here are eye popping and attention drawing. Possibly not for everyday use- unless you happen to love going bold everyday, I find the shades really complement eachother and are easy to blend. It may only be August but I think this palette has staying power for the rest of the year- festival season AND party season, so I'f you don't have one already you better get down to the shops and stock up.

I really loved this palette. The shades were much brighter than their usual offerings, and I took mine to Glastonbury and used it every day. It was great at creating funky styles that lasted all day. I like their purples, but it was the blues, orange and green I used most.

I was so disappointed by this Sleek palette. I found most of the shades to be of a lower quality than previous palettes. The mattes are more chalky than previously and 3 of the shades are so unpigmented that they barely show, even with UDPP. I found it didn't last well either. And am I the only person sick to death of their purples? They all seem to look the same!

However, as I love the shimmery blue and of course the essential matte black that they do so well, I shall forgive them.
