Any new MAC collection gets me squirming with excitement, and the latest one that I've just seen images for has a very delicious theme. Called 'A Tartan Tale' there are many nods to Scotland, and the designer tartan palettes each bear a crest that proudly displays the MAC logo. I find these palettes very preppy and wearable, and almost get a hint of Gossip Girl style in the creation and feel of these pieces of makeup.
I really like the matching pouches you can get with the sets and think they'll be very collectable. The collection isn't just lovely to look at, but it's also very easy to wear. The design may be bright and bold, but the colours look nude and peachy, with muted blush and eyeshadows, complemented by silver and pink nail varnishes. It should be out around October time, and I can't wait.
