Aren't villains always more fun? MAC Cosmetics is counting on it with their new range of MAC Venomous Villains makeup, inspired by four insidious Disney bad gals - and a guy! Snow White's The Evil Queen, 101 Dalmatians' Cruella De Vil, Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent and the Princess and the Frog's Dr. Facilier are all brought to your makeup bag in living color. The four collections his US counters tomorrow, September 30, and are already on the US Web site, and expected internationally the next month.
Each character has inspired more than a dozen products in their own signature color palette, so let's dig in. For more pictures and details, keep reading.
Probably the most high profile in their hijinks are The Evil Queen and Cruella De Vil, seen above.
The Evil Queen's lipstick has got to be her trademark and it is captured in the Satin Lipstick in Toxic Tale. The LipGlasses, however, I found to be more wearable. I was particularly dazzled by Hot House. Both the face powders, the powder blush and beauty powder are pretty and wearable, don't let the brightness of the coral blush in the package scare you.

Cruella De Vil, aside from her hair, also has that bold lip Disney's leading ladies seem to favor, as well as that intriguing eye. While I was surprised not to find a green Eye Shadow, the Carbon Matte shade is perfect for cruel dealings, and De-Vil is a terrific shade for fall. Her one Lipglass is light and sparkly, Devilishly Stylish, while Wicked Ways packs a magenta punch. And I'd say the Amplified Creme Lipstick in Heartless is her signature color.

I'll admit I am less familiar with Maleficent, but with purply and blue/sea green metallic marbled Mineralize Eye Shadows, she's obviously my kind of woman. These are definitely standouts in the collection. I also got to check out some Nail Lacquers from her range, sparkly sparkly sparkly in great pinky red, purple and green for fall. Her lip shades may be a bit less wearable than even the reds of the other ladies, they are heavy on the purple.

And MAC would never leave out the boys, and they saved some really cool stuff for Dr. Facilier. He actually gets some of my favorite MAC products - Greasepaint sticks in both a black and dark green. He's also the only one to boast some awesome pigments - pink, purple and gold - and Magically Cool Liquid Powders. His collection is much more earth-tone based, which balances out all the corals and pinks the women bring to the table.
