I remember last year my best friend turned up at my house wearing a winter hat with ears on. Once I'd got over the initial 'seriously, you're wearing ears to go shopping?!' stage, I had to admit the whole idea was quite sweet. I actually sort of came round to the idea.
But the ears have gone a step too far this winter, and I just ain't buying this latest hair trend. Sure, Lady Gaga was twisting her locks into bows long ago and the world barely blinked an eye, but Cheryl Cole and Nicole Scherzinger have me completely baffled over the shapes they're creating on the top of their heads.
A few weeks ago dear Chezza stepped out on the X Factor stage with a look reminiscent of Mickey Mouse, and while most of us recoiled in horror and longed for the days when she 'got her mojo back', apparently Nicole Scherzinger thought it would be a great idea to copy.
So much so that she's stormed London with a set of hair ears of her own, complete with a super-harsh fringe, in case you weren't horrified enough.
But hey, maybe I'm living in the dark ages with my dislike of the look. Perhaps it is time we all embraced some animal ears of our own... Any opinions?
