It's always hard to choose a skincare brand, mostly because they're always shouting about what's in them that makes them so amazing - caffiene, Alkyl Guanine Transferase, pixie dust, whatever - that it's so confusing to work out which actually work and what's just full of jargon designed to sound impressive.

That's why I was so intrigued when I read about new start up Codage; a skincare brand which uses an online questionnaire to create a personalized beauty prescription for customers - which factors in your diet, environment (levels of pollution and second hand smoking included), skin worries and habits.

After revealing the customer's "prescription" for My Nutri-Out (a serum) and My Nutri-In (a selection of nutritional supplements), Codage allows customers to increase or decrease the amount of each active ingredient, or remove certain elements in the formula before ordering, meaning that you get to be involved in creating it, and therefore what you're putting into your skin.
