Olivia Rubin is known for her stylish collections of geometric designs, bold bright colours and wearable dresses- which is why so many WAG's were in the house (think Danielle Llloyd and My Only name is Essex stars) for the launch of her London Fashion Week A/W 11 catwalk show. The makeup was created using Daniel Sandler cosmetics (for the amazing geometric eyes) and the hair was provided by the team from RUSH salons, headed up by the charming Sam Burnett.

He revealed that the inspiration for the hair was to complement the boldness of the clothes, and he'd worked with Olivia Rubin to create a style that showed a distinct move on from the vagaries of Spring and Summer. To keep the focus on the clothes, he opted for something raw with a grunge element, and this was reflected in the low slung ballerina-esque buns with the defined partings. The key element was the shine, and he suggested this style would look best on hair that was a few days from washing, to give it a more dimensional look. The parting was low and to the side, and the ponytail of the bun was tight for an extra chic effect.

Sam Burnett from Rush offered the following tips for getting the hair look at home:
'To get a tight ponytail, lean the head back when collecting the hair, and it will tighten as you move your head forwards;. He also suggested using saltwater at the roots at the front as that gives you as nice texture to play with.
