Amongst the sea of pillar box reds, barely there nudes and sheer washes it's refreshing to see something so unashamedly in your face, that isn't trying to be girly, and that screams power more than any tailored suit or expensive watch could ever do.
Lord and Berry Black Red Vogue is a decadent in your face colour, vibrant, strong, with an almost sepulchral like quality, that is suppressed by the matte finish and strength in the colour. When this lipstick bleeds, it does so in True Blood style, as anything less would be an insult.
The colour is pretty longlasting though, coping well with coffee, pasta and a mojito, with demure impressions on the glass that quite belies its striking shade. It feels velvety smooth on the lips, both in application and on wear, and gives your face a strangely luminescent quality, as if your skin shines more brightly to account for the lipstick. The Vogue Semi Matte lippies are out in four shades, but the Lord and Berry Black Red Vogue lipstick is by far the winner, with its cherry red colour and devilish promises.
