I was quite excited to get my hands on First Aid Beauty products, as they're a new range which is always interestiing. Designed by Lilli Gordon, the range aims to be a one stop shop for all beauty woes, from eye creams to serums. The focus is on catering to sensitive skin and all products are free from parabens and harsh chemicals- no Retinol in these babies.
I really like the design of the products, they've taken inspiration from the clinical chic trend that's sweeping beauty halls and the clean lines white bottles and retro-esque design is very appealing to me.
I decided to try the Daily Face Cleanser as I'm a big fan of cream cleansers and wanted to see how this would fare. It has a very thick texture- not rich, more of an E45 texture, with the product dispensing in a whipped thick manner. Mixed with water you do build up a nice lather, but it doesn't feel particularly pampering- it's definitely more about function than frills.
It was very gently and inoffensive on my skin and I could see how this would be ideal for someone who suffered from sensitivity or redness as it was the opposite of inflammatory- so gentle it was almost like NOT using a wash, which was a strange thing to think.
Apparently it's infused with the 'FAB Antioxidant Booster' but this wasn't hugely apparent, it just felt like ea thick E45 style facial wash. It didn't cope very well with a face full of makeup, so I've been using it in the morning as a refreshing wake up call. Good for parched skins and those who suffer flare ups, but if you want something a bit more exciting you should look elsewhere.
