BareEscentuals bareMinerals makeup is so popular in part because it is so good for your skin. I use it, and it's one of the products "regular women" not in the beauty industry mention to me the most. From anecdotal evidence alone I can say women feel it improves their skin even when they're not wearing it, and I personally feel it's less pore-clogging. So, I trust them a little more than other cosmetic companies when it comes to skin care.

QVC is introducing the bareMinerals Skincare Advanced Treatment Collection as part of the Naturally Luminous Skincare line. It includes Purifying Facial Cleanser, Wrinkle Concentrate and Extra-Firming Neck Cream. The formulas use BE's RareMinerals Active Soil Complex for increased cell turnover and antioxidant protection.

First off I love the products' fresh scent, which always puts me in a good mood for a new cream. The face wash was a little creamy for my particular taste, but I have very oily skin and prefer something more tailored to that skin type. As this collection is targeted toward aging skin, it makes sense that it would be more moisturizing.

The wrinkle concentrate is smooth and luxurious without being too thick, and it absorbs quickly and leaves skin feeling fresh, which I like. And a little goes a long way.

I also like the neck cream. I like neck creams in general because I fear old lady neck, and would like to prevent it as best possible, and I also like my decollete and don't want to have to put it away entirely when I'm 50. But anti-aging products tend to be amongst the most chemical-laden so I appreciate that this one relies on natural extracts to renew skin and prevent signs of aging.

The collection is $36 on QVC.com in the US, and a similar kit is available on the UK site for 22 pounds.
