Katy Perry has covered the June issue of Vanity Fair - she looks gorgeous as usual, but the cover is causing a stir because people are accusing her of copying Dita von Teese's distinctive style.
With her raven hair waved out, porcelain skin, dramatic red lips and a sultry stare, Katy definitely has a touch of the burlesque about her - but it is really that far removed from her usual look? We're not that sure.
Dita seems to have seen it though.
"People have always copied my style," she said. "I used to have friends who would dye their hair exactly the same shade as mine. I see it as a compliment." It seems like she had prior warning of Katy's new look too - she revealed, "Katy and I are friends. She comes to a lot of my shows, but she [recently] came backstage and said: 'I am taking all of this (gesturing at her hair and costume).' "
