Philips have addressed that need for speed with their new Satin Perfect Luxury Epilator Set, aiming to make them more time efficient and effective by widening the head so it takes off more hair in each stroke and implementing a 'subtle vibration system', which lifts up the hair so the ceramic tweezers grab every one, while an 'active massaging cap' soothes your skin as you go. In the set, you also receive a slimmer epilator for use on more sensitive areas like the bikini line.
So my experience: It is a bit pointless to pretend that epilators don't hurt - of course they do, you are ripping the hair out of your follicles about 20 at a time - although it's worth noting that it does hurt less the longer and more often you use it (or that could be the nerves dying, who knows). So that aside, the question is; does it do its job well enough to put up with the pain?
Yes, it does. The head takes off a lot of hair at once and it did the job faster then others I've used, plus the vibrating feature does seem to help its effectiveness. All in all, definitely a system I'd recommend - and now my legs are silky smooth.
