A strong beauty look anchored bold fashions at the Chanel Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2011-12 fashion show. Models wore lace masks reminiscent of recent Jason Wu and Farah Angsana runways. And as seems to be the way with these accessories, bold eye looks stood out through all that delicate camouflage. Heavily lined in black and navy, and with lots of lashes, these were no victorian eyes demurring behind their veils. While cheeks and lips were more understated, they were noticeably pigmented in pink.
One can only imagine the hair was inspired by the rain-slick setting of the runway: pulled back with heavy, matted, voluminous bangs scraped to the side as if a more put-together look was caught in a storm.
