clementsbs.jpgWe have just this second got back from the Clements Ribeiro show on day two of London Fashion Week, where we were backstage again with the lovely team from Bourjois.

Very different from the bright, vivid, popping blue we saw them give the Paul Costelloe models, makeup this morning was all about more faded-in colour. The theme of the beauty was to make the models look as though they'd just sleepily done their own makeup - makeup artist Cassie Lomas told us it was meant to look like they'd "dipped their fingers into pots of colour and smudged it on" after rolling out of bed (with a 7am call time, I'm sure it wasn't hard to get them to do 'sleepy').

A red shadow to match the wallpaper print on the clothes was applied high on the eyes, up to the brow bone and then patted in to dull it down so that there was nothing that particularly popped on the face (after the run through - which we watched with Cassie - it was determined that the colour stood out too much, so they diffused it to make it less dense). A rose-gold eyeliner was applied all under the eye and on the waterline. Skin was kept looking healthy, fresh and young with a serum followed by the tiniest dot of foundation, blended completely into the skin, and a flush of pink blush. Hair was big, backcombed, and then tied into ponytails right at the ends.

A really beautiful, antique look to go with the gorgeous clothes which you can see here at CatwalkQueen.tv!
