You can't have missed the posters everywhere advertising the newest addition to Lancôme's mascara range, Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Eyes - the images of the models with their dolled up faces have been catching my eye for a while, so I had to try it.
The fourth in the Hypnose line (one of which is sold every four seconds worldwide), this one has a newly designed and patented 'I-conical' wand which is said to imbibe lashes with nylon charge, and a formula enriched with nylon fibres.
So what do you need to know about this mascara? It does what it says: the conical brush grabs every single lash - even the tiny ones - and beautifully separates and defines them. The tapered end really comes into its own if you use it to emphasize the outer corner lashes. A lot of mascaras that claim to curl lashes have never really worked for me, so I'm a complete slave to my eyelash curlers - but I haven't used them since I've been using Doll Eyes (and that has probably impressed me the most). You're left with a long, defined, uplifted fringe of lashes, completely without any crispiness - actually, lashes feel really pliable, natural and weightless, probably because of the nylon content, and there's absolutely no flaking.
Really love this - it's overtaken Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes as my favourite mascara. Have you used it yet? We'd love to know what you think. If not, you can get it from boots here for £20.50 - it's worth every penny.
